The Business Academy strives to build a strong foundation for minority male students accepted into the Robert H. Smith School of Business by enrolling incoming freshmen and sophomore students into the program for a one-year duration. Upon completing the program the students will graduate from the Business Academy and become active alumni by acting as mentors for future students.
   
Objectives of SBA: 

  • Develop and polish student’s brand
  • Sharpen student’s communication and social skills
  • Establish a community of brotherhood
  • Foster opportunities for internships and professional advancement
  • Raise awareness of the significance of minority position in Business
  • Embolden students to prioritize and exceed in academics
